Doha: The Israeli occupation authorities continue to detain 49 Palestinian female prisoners in the dungeons of their captivity, among them two children and a prisoner from the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society reported in a statement marking Palestinian Women’s National Day, observed annually on Oct. 26.
According to Qatar News Agency, the society indicated that those women languishing in the Israeli occupation’s prisons and interrogation centers face methodical crimes, stressing that the maelstrom of these crimes has unprecedentedly surged since the flare-up of the aggression against the Gaza enclave in October 2023.
This phase is the bloodiest in the history of the Palestinian people, whose harsh vestiges remain indelible in the reality of those female prisoners, the statement continued.
The statement further pointed out that the Israeli occupation authorities commit a series of crimes against them, chief among which are torture, starvation, deliberate medical negligence, psychological terror, systematic repression, and repeated incursions marked by beatings and acts of humiliation.
