Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister of Kuwait, during the latter’s visit to Egypt. The discussions centered on regional developments and enhancing bilateral relations between the two nations.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Egyptian Presidency released a statement highlighting the Kuwaiti Prime Minister’s appreciation for Egypt’s critical role in promoting security and stability across the region. He praised Egypt’s efforts in negotiating a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and underscored the need for its full implementation and the initiation of reconstruction activities in the area.
The meeting also focused on bilateral relations, with both leaders agreeing to continue building on the outcomes of President El-Sisi’s state visit to Kuwait in April 2015. They emphasized the importance of advancing agreements, particularly in trade and investment, targeting sectors of mutual interest.
The Egyptian President expressed Egypt’s openness to Kuwaiti investments across various fields, assuring the removal of obstacles and provision of necessary facilities to support the success of Kuwaiti investors in Egypt.
