Riyadh: The 2025 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Member Associations and Regional Associations Presidents’ and General Secretaries’ Conference concluded in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, with the participation of a select group of global football leaders and industry experts.
According to Qatar News Agency, participants in the three-day conference, hosted by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, reiterated their full support for the AFC’s ambitions to elevate the game to new heights.
Football Australia’s Interim CEO and General Secretary Heather Garriock opened the third day with a presentation on the tactical aspects that make football a business based on innovation and management. Global Vice President of the Gloat business organization platform Riges Younan also discussed how artificial intelligence can be used to advance the game.
In his closing remarks, AFC President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa emphasized that the conference is a valuable opportunity to continue constructive discourse that helps shape the future and propels Asian football to greater heights. He pointed out that the AFC continues to work on launching innovative programs targeting national and regional federations, with the aim of enhancing performance and establishing a new era driven by excellence, within the framework of the confederation’s vision and the cooperation of its members.
