HEBRON – Ma’an – The General Assembly of Shareholders of Ezdihar Palestine Company held its annual meeting on Saturday, in the presence of the company’s board of directors and a number of shareholders of the General Assembly, who constituted 82% of the shareholders, which constituted a legal quorum for the session.
The meeting was attended by the company’s external auditor, HLB International, represented by Samir Sahar, who read the financial statement. The meeting was also attended by the representative of the Companies Controller, Maher Al-Zaben, representing the Ministry of National Economy.
The meeting began with the Palestinian national anthem and the recitation of Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs. At the beginning of the session, Rafiq Abu Manshar thanked the Board of Directors of the Smart College for University Education for their warm reception of the General Assembly meeting, expressing his pride and honor in this great national edifice. He spoke about the achievements of Palestine’s prospe
rity this year despite all the challenges, difficulties, and political and economic circumstances that our country is going through.
Rafiq Abu Manshar announced to the shareholders the news of the imminent start of the trial operation of the Izdihar Palestine Feed Factory within the next two months. He also announced the launch of Izdihar Palestine Information Technology Company and its entry into the Palestinian labor market. He pointed to the remarkable progress and great effort exerted in the Izdihar Palestine project to produce electric power and the accompanying natural gas pipeline project. He also pointed to the start of actual production in the pickles factory in Kafr Dan – Jenin.
For his part, Basil Al-Qadi, CEO of Ezdehar Palestine, spoke in his speech to the shareholders about the most prominent challenges that the company’s management faced during the past year, the most important of which was the ongoing war on our people in the Gaza Strip, and the significant impact that this had on the implem
entation of Ezdehar Palestine’s plans and projects, as well as the disruption of supply chains and economic downturn that accompanied it. Despite all of this, Ezdehar Palestine has proven its ability to adapt and grow in a turbulent and changing environment. Al-Qadi pointed out that this would not have been achieved without the support and integration of roles between the Board of Directors, shareholders, and executive management in the company, and the dedication of the company’s employees who are doing their utmost to achieve the vision and goals of Ezdehar Palestine.
A serious, deep and constructive discussion was held by the members of the General Assembly and the Board of Directors. The members of the General Assembly thanked the Board of Directors and the Executive Management for their efforts, dedication, patience and wise management in light of these complex circumstances that our country and the region are going through.
At the end of the session, the shareholders approved the company’s administrat
ive and financial report and the board was discharged.
