Doha: Egypt’s Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) announced a decline in the annual inflation rate for the entire country to 11.2 percent for August 2025, compared to 13.1 percent for July 2025.
According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement on Wednesday, the agency reported that regarding monthly inflation, the general consumer price index for the entire country reached 257.1 points for August 2025, recording an increase of 0.2 percent compared to July 2025.
CAPMAS attributed the main reasons for this increase to a 0.1 percent rise in the prices of the grains and bread group. The household appliances group also recorded a 1.4 percent increase, while the medical products, devices, and equipment group increased by 0.3 percent. Meanwhile, the prices of the meat and poultry group decreased by 1.3 percent.
