Abu dhabi: The Arab League strongly condemned Iran's targeting of Oman's Duqm Commercial Port and an oil tanker off the coast of Oman with missiles.

According to Qatar News Agency, Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit issued a statement denouncing the targeting of facilities in Oman. Oman is recognized for its mediation efforts aimed at achieving a peaceful resolution between Iran and the United States.

Aboul Gheit also renewed his condemnation of Iranian assaults on civilian facilities in Arab Gulf countries, describing them as violations of sovereignty and breaches of international law and humanitarian law. He emphasized that these actions endanger civilian lives by targeting civilian objects.

The Arab League Secretary-General cautioned about the repercussions of Iran's military actions on regional security, maritime navigation, and energy supplies. He stated that the deployment of missiles and drones against civilian facilities in several Arab countries is unacceptable and unjustifiable.

Aboul Gheit reaffirmed the Arab League's full support for all Arab states in their efforts to protect their sovereignty, security, and stability.
