Doha: HE President of the friendly Republic of Colombia Gustavo Petro arrived in Doha on Thursday, on an official visit to the country. His Excellency and the accompanying delegation were welcomed upon arrival at Hamad International Airport by HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi and HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Colombia Issa bin Jaber Al Kuwari.
According to Qatar News Agency, the visit is expected to strengthen the bilateral relations between Colombia and Qatar. Discussions between the two nations may focus on areas of mutual interest, including economic cooperation and cultural exchange. The visit signifies the commitment of both countries to enhance their diplomatic and economic ties.
President Gustavo Petro’s agenda in Doha includes meetings with high-ranking Qatari officials, which will further involve dialogues on various sectors that could bolster collaboration. This visit marks a significant step in the diplomatic engagements between Colombia and Qatar.
