Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Sudan’s Transitional Prime Minister, Kamil Idris, to discuss relations between Egypt and Sudan and explore ways to enhance cooperation across various sectors. The discussions aimed at contributing to Sudan’s stability and fulfilling the developmental aspirations of both nations.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on efforts to resolve the ongoing crisis in Sudan and address the aspirations of the Sudanese people for peace and stability. President El-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s unwavering support for Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He emphasized Egypt’s commitment to backing efforts that promote security and stability in Sudan and alleviate the humanitarian challenges while safeguarding the resources of the Sudanese populace.
The leaders also shared perspectives on the latest developments in the region and highlighted the necessity for ongoing collaboration and dialogue between their countries concerning issues of mutual concern.
