Erbil: The 17th Erbil International Book Fair kicks off Wednesday in Erbil and is scheduled to run until April 19.
According to Qatar News Agency, this year, 350 publishing houses from 22 local and global countries are participating in the fair, showcasing their works across an area of more than 20,000 square meters.
The fair will feature a variety of cultural dialogues, poetry readings, book signing ceremonies, and various artistic performances and seminars on Iraq and the region. Several cultural seminars and discussions focusing on translation and language will be held, featuring intellectuals and specialists. Specialized workshops will also be held on the state of the book industry and strategies for developing the publishing sector.
