FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025: Local Organizing Committee Confirms Readiness for Tournament

Doha: The Local Organizing Committee has confirmed the completion of all organizational arrangements for the upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025. Senior Director of Facilities Management, Eng. Jassim Al Obaidli, affirmed the readiness to host the tournament, which will feature 48 national teams and high-quality facilities. He noted the challenge of hosting the tournament within a single venue but expressed confidence in the world-class infrastructure that meets FIFA standards.

According to Qatar News Agency, Senior Director of Marketing Operations, Ahmed Al Ahmad Al Meghessib, elaborated on the “Road to Qatar” ticketing application, which offers a digital experience for fans attending the tournament. The application allows fans to access and transfer their tickets easily, with designated seating options for fans with disabilities and special parking permits available. Fans can purchase up to six tickets per day, and special “Support Your Team” tickets are available for the Qatari U-17 national team’s matches.

The “Road to Qatar” application also serves as a unified ticketing platform for other major sporting events hosted by Qatar, including the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 and the FIFA Club Confederations Cup 2025. Al Meghessib highlighted the Fan Zone’s range of activities, aiming to create a football festival atmosphere.

Director of Local and Regional Media, Mohammed Al Khanji, noted strong interest in media accreditation, with around 1,000 applications received. The media center and press conference room are being equipped for distinguished coverage of the event. The tournament will feature 104 matches across eight pitches within the Aspire Zone competition complex, with the final at Khalifa International Stadium on November 27.

Tickets for the tournament start from QR 20, allowing fans to attend multiple matches per day and enjoy cultural and entertainment activities at the Fan Zone. The Qatari U-17 national team, placed in Group A with Italy, South Africa, and Bolivia, will begin its campaign against Italy on November 3, aiming to improve on its fourth-place finish in the 1991 edition.
