Beirut: Five people were killed and ten others injured Thursday as a result of an airstrike carried out by the Israeli entity in eastern Lebanon.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health stated in a press release that the Israeli strike targeted the Masnaa Road in the Bekaa region, resulting in an initial toll of five fatalities and ten injuries.
This comes in the wake of another airstrike that killed one person in the town of Kfardan, located in the Baalbek district of eastern Lebanon.
A ceasefire agreement in Lebanon came into effect on November 27 of last year, stipulating the withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern border villages within 60 days. The Lebanese government later extended the deadline until Feb. 18. However, Israeli forces have remained stationed at five points and continue to carry out violations.
