HH the Amir Sends Condolences to President of Ghana


Accra: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani sent Thursday a cable of condolences to HE President of the Republic of Ghana John Dramani Mahama on the passing of the Minister of Defense and the Minister of Environment, Science and Technology, along with a number of senior Ghanaian officials, in a military helicopter crash in the south of the country.



According to Qatar News Agency, the tragic incident claimed the lives of several key figures in Ghana’s government, leading to national mourning. The helicopter crash has sent shockwaves throughout the nation, as the individuals on board were instrumental in shaping Ghana’s defense and environmental policies. The sudden loss of these officials has left a significant void in the country’s leadership.



The message from HH the Amir expressed heartfelt sympathy and support to President Mahama and the people of Ghana during this challenging time. The Amir’s gesture underscores the strong diplomatic ties between Qatar and Ghana and highlights the shared grief over the tragic loss of Ghana’s esteemed leaders.
