Israeli Forces Intensify Military Actions in Quneitra Governorate

Quneitra: The Israeli occupation forces continued their aggressive actions in Quneitra Governorate, in southwestern Syria.

According to Qatar News Agency, an Israeli occupation force planted new mines around a military post it uses as a base in the town of Jubata al-Khashab, within the Jubata forest and al-Burj area north of Quneitra Governorate.

The occupation forces have intensified their movements and military measures in the area in an attempt to reinforce their fortifications and expand their control over the surrounding lands – a new violation of UN Security Council Resolution 497, which affirms that the Golan Heights are Syrian territory and condemns Israel’s practices there.

Israeli occupation continues its assaults on Syrian territory in violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, international law, and relevant United Nations resolutions. Syria condemns these attacks and calls on the international community to take a firm stance to put an end to these attacks.
