Jeddah Book Fair 2024 Opens With International Participation

JEDDAH: The Jeddah Book Fair 2024 commenced on Thursday, organized by the Saudi Authority for Literature, Publishing and Translation. The event, which runs until December 21, features participation from over 1,000 publishing houses and agencies from 22 countries, spread across more than 450 pavilions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the fair offers a comprehensive cultural program with over 100 activities, including lectures, seminars, and workshops led by more than 170 specialists. An interactive area is dedicated to children, featuring programs in writing, authorship, theater, and animation, and includes a section for Saudi authors to present their latest publications.

The fair also celebrates the Year of the Camel, dedicating a pavilion to showcase the camel’s historical and cultural significance. This pavilion aims to enhance visitors’ knowledge through murals displaying its various names and references in the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH).
