Jordan FM, US Official Discuss Regional Developments and Humanitarian Efforts


Doha: Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi met on Monday with Jeremy Lewin, US Under-Secretary for Foreign Assistance, Humanitarian Affairs and Religious Freedom at the State Department, who is currently visiting the Kingdom. The discussions aimed to enhance the strategic relations between Jordan and the US, alongside addressing the latest developments in the region.



According to Qatar News Agency, the two officials reviewed the ongoing efforts to maintain the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. They emphasized the importance of ensuring the immediate and sufficient delivery of humanitarian aid and guaranteeing the implementation of all terms of the ceasefire agreement.



Safadi expressed Jordan’s appreciation for the efforts made by US President Donald Trump. He highlighted the President’s proposals aimed at ending the conflict in Gaza, facilitating aid delivery and reconstruction, preventing the displacement of Palestinians, and maintaining a firm stance against the annexation of the West Bank.
