Kuwait Bourse Records Slight Gains in All Share Index


Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Thursday with the All Share Index experiencing a modest increase of 4.12 points, reaching 8,820.82 points, marking a rise of 0.05 percent.



According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session saw a total of 477.5 million shares exchanged, with a value of KWD 124.9 million, approximately USD 379.6 million, conducted through 24,989 transactions. The Main Market Index recorded an increase of 39.37 points, climbing to 8,101.92 points, representing an increase of 0.49 percent. This was achieved through 259 million shares traded in 14,424 transactions, with a total value of KWD 44.5 million, or roughly USD 135.2 million.



Conversely, the Premier Market Index experienced a minor decline, losing 4.45 points to settle at 9,435.98 points, a decrease of 0.05 percent. This involved the trading of 218.5 million shares through 10,565 transactions, amounting to a value of KWD 80.3 million, or approximately USD 244 million.



The bourse’s Main 50 Index saw a gain of 53.34 points, reaching 8,300.20 points, an increase of 0.65 percent. This was achieved through a stock volume of 198.13 million shares, executed in 9,528 deals, with a total value of KWD 34.7 million, or approximately USD 105.4 million.
