Kuwait city: HH Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah met Sunday with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi who is visiting Kuwait. During the meeting, they discussed ways of cooperation between Kuwait and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), in addition to reviewing efforts to protect and support refugees in various locations in the region and the world.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions focused on enhancing collaborative efforts to address the needs of refugees. Both parties emphasized the importance of joint initiatives and shared responsibilities in providing aid and protection to displaced populations. The meeting also highlighted Kuwait’s ongoing contributions to humanitarian efforts and its commitment to supporting international refugee initiatives.
