Lebanese Lawmakers, Politicians Condemn Israeli Attack on Doha, Call for Unified Arab and International Response

Doha: Lebanese lawmakers and politicians have condemned the Israeli attack that targeted on Tuesday residential buildings housing several leaders of Hamas movement in Doha: They stressed that the Israeli attack constitutes a violation of international laws, conventions, and norms, and underscored the urgent need for a unified Arab and international stance to deter the Israeli entity.

According to Qatar News Agency, Lebanese Secretary of the Democratic Gathering Bloc MP Hadi Aboul Hosn expressed condemnation and denunciation of this brutal attack against a brotherly Arab state that plays a leading role in diplomacy and conflict resolution. MP Aboul Hosn affirmed that the attack targeted a country that has contributed significantly to supporting the Palestinian cause and has acted as a mediator to alleviate the suffering and injustice faced by the Palestinian people in Gaza. He stressed that the Israeli attack is not only a violation of the sovereignty of the brotherly State of Qatar but also a breach of international laws and norms, and a threat to the security and stability of the region.

Former Lebanese MP Dr. Khaled Zahraman condemned the Israeli attack on Doha, describing it as a dangerous escalation at a highly sensitive time, during which the State of Qatar is playing a crucial role in mediating efforts to end the war on Gaza. Dr. Zahraman told QNA that the attack constituted a flagrant violation of international and legal norms and an utter blatant violation of state sovereignty. He added that this reflects the arrogance of the Israeli entity at a time when the international community stands idly by.

For his part, former Lebanese Foreign Minister Dr. Adnan Mansour also condemned the Israeli attack on the brotherly State of Qatar, which has been working tirelessly to bring peace to Gaza through its mediation efforts. He stressed that this assault poses a threat not only to Qatar’s security and stability but to the entire Arab region as a whole. Dr. Mansour said that Israel continues to prove that it does not want peace but rather seeks war and the destabilization of the region.

Lebanese journalist and political analyst Assaad Bechara condemned the Israeli attack that targeted the State of Qatar, calling it a blatant assault on the sovereignty of a brotherly country and a clear violation of international law. In his statement to QNA, Bechara warned that such actions threaten regional stability, and that the continuation of such attacks could lead to a dangerous escalation that endangers the security of both the region and the world.

Meanwhile, Professor of Political Science and Public International Law at the Lebanese University and Head of the Political and Strategic Studies Unit at the Global Institute for Arab Renewal Dr. Nasser Zaidan, also condemned the Israeli attack on Qatar. He said that the attack violated all international laws and disregarded the values and norms that govern relations between nations, describing it as a grave transgression that signals a dangerous threat to regional stability. Dr. Zaidan emphasized that the entire international community is obligated to condemn this Israeli act and to take concrete steps to stop Israel’s continued aggression – both against the Palestinian people and neighboring states.
