Libya and United States Explore Enhanced Military Partnership

Libya: Libya's Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibeh has held talks in Tripoli with Lt Gen John Brennan, Deputy Commander of the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM), during an official visit by the US military official to the Libyan capital.

According to Qatar News Agency, Government of National Unity, discussions focused on strengthening military and security cooperation between Libya and the United States.

The two sides explored ways to expand training and qualification programs for Libyan forces, as well as efforts to support the unification of Libya's divided military institutions. Coordination on intelligence-sharing and capacity-building was also discussed.
