MCIT Unveils Comprehensive Programme for Web Summit Qatar 2026

Doha: The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has revealed its participation programme for the third edition of Web Summit Qatar 2026, scheduled to occur from February 1 to 4, 2026, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC). MCIT’s involvement promises a comprehensive and integrated presence at this premier global platform for technology and innovation.

According to Qatar News Agency, MCIT’s participation aligns with its commitment to engage directly with industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors. This initiative aims to contribute to global discussions on the digital economy’s future and highlight Qatar’s advancements in digital transformation, entrepreneurship, and future skills development. The Ministry’s programme includes an interactive booth designed to facilitate dialogue and engagement, featuring over 22 panel discussions and live presentations with technology experts and industry leaders in coordination with Invest Qatar.

The Ministry of Sports and Youth will also participate, offering youth-focused initiatives alongside the Qatar Scientific Club to support Qatar’s national innovation ecosystem. The interactive booth will showcase MCIT’s flagship entrepreneurship programmes, such as the Digital Incubation Center, TASMU Accelerator, and Scale Now Programme, which have collectively supported hundreds of startups.

MCIT will organise four specialised courses on innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital skills development during the Summit. Additionally, the booth will exhibit startups incubated under MCIT and the Ministry of Sports and Youth programmes, allowing 24 startups to participate throughout the Summit. This setup aims to maximize exposure, networking, and investment opportunities for these startups.

Eman Al Kuwari, Director of the Digital Innovation Department at MCIT, will also engage in a dialogue session titled “Sovereign AI: Building Technology in a Transnational World,” discussing AI developments and digital initiatives in Qatar.

On the sidelines, MCIT will sign over 10 agreements with local and international partners to bolster cooperation in digital innovation, skills development, startup empowerment, and digital transformation across priority sectors.
