Nineveh: A mild earthquake measuring 2.5 on the Richter scale struck western Nineveh Governorate, north of Iraq. The earthquake was recorded in an area between the cities of Tal Afar and Al-Rabia, approximately 75 kilometers west of the city of Mosul.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Meteorological and Seismic Monitoring Authority in Nineveh Governorate reported the incident. The authority noted that the earthquake is part of the ongoing seismic activity in the border region between Iraq, Turkiye, and Iran. This area has experienced increased seismic activity throughout this year, indicating a trend that continues to concern local monitoring agencies.
