Doha: Ministry of Environment and Climate Change: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, represented by the Winter Camping Affairs Regulatory Committee, has announced that the number of registered camps in the southern region during the period from October 5 to 8 reached approximately 1,500.
According to Qatar News Agency, these camps were distributed across the Al Nuqayan, Al Khararah, and Mukaynis areas in the wilderness, in addition to the Sealine and Khor Al Audaid areas within the nature reserves. The Ministry stated that the registration process was carried out smoothly and regularly through the Ministry’s website and the “Be’ah” application. This was facilitated by the development of the electronic system for winter camping, which enabled users to complete registration procedures and reserve camp sites with ease.
The Ministry also announced that the available sites will reopen for registration on October 15. It called on everyone to adhere to the approved environmental regulations and regulatory procedures to ensure a safe and sustainable camping season for all.
