Doha: The Ministry of Municipality, represented by the Customer Service and Unified Call Center Department, organized a seminar on Tuesday in celebration of World Customer Service Week 2025. The event was held at the Ministry’s main building on the Corniche and was attended by several specialists and experts.
According to Qatar News Agency, the seminar featured prominent speakers, including HE Vice Chairperson of the National Human Rights Committee Dr. Mohammed bin Saif Al Kuwari, Secretary-General of the Central Municipal Council Mohamed Nasrallah, Islamic preacher Dr. Mowafi Azab, and Assistant Director of the Customer Service and Unified Call Center Department Amal Al Mohannadi.
The discussions emphasized the significance of embedding values in public service, improving performance quality, and enhancing customer interaction in line with digital transformation goals. Speakers also stressed fostering a culture of customer service and leadership within the institutional performance framework.
Dr. Mohammed bin Saif Al Kuwari highlighted that Customer Service Week serves as an annual occasion to recognize front-line employees in institutions. He pointed out that customer service transcends administrative processes, aligning closely with human rights principles like dignity, respect, and equality, and called for a work environment that upholds employee rights and ensures justice and dignity.
Assistant Director Amal Al Mohannadi outlined the journey a customer undergoes from interaction initiation to service completion, showcasing the department’s adoption of cutting-edge digital technologies to enhance service accessibility and improve public satisfaction.
Secretary-General Mohamed Nasrallah emphasized the need to strengthen community participation and adopt new mechanisms to amplify citizens’ voices, advocating for collaboration between institutions to boost municipal work efficiency and serve the public good.
Islamic preacher Dr. Mowafi Azab added insights on the ethical dimensions of public service, highlighting that dedication and excellence are Islamic values that enhance employee reputation and foster customer satisfaction and trust.
World Customer Service Week is observed annually in the first week of October, celebrating the vital role of customer service in various sectors.
