Oslo: King Harald V of Norway and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas engaged in discussions to enhance bilateral relations during Abbas's visit on Wednesday. According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions also covered a range of regional and international issues that are of mutual interest to both Norway and Palestine. President Abbas took the opportunity to inform King Harald V about the dire situation in the Palestinian territories. He emphasized the severe humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, which is exacerbated by ongoing aggression, a blockade, and the threat of starvation. President Abbas expressed concerns over Israeli actions that aim to undermine Palestinian state institutions and jeopardize the prospects for a two-state solution.
