Occupation Gunfire Injures 7 Palestinians in West Bank

Bethlehem: Seven Palestinians were injured Sunday by Israeli occupation forces’ gunfire in the Wadi Al Hummus area east of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank.

According to Qatar News Agency, a security source reported that occupation forces opened fire on civilians, resulting in injuries to seven individuals, all of whom were shot in the extremities.

Meanwhile, the town of Tamoun, located south of Tubas, witnessed a military incursion as occupation forces stormed the area. Local sources indicated that the forces entered the town with several military vehicles and deployed infantry forces amidst gunfire. Despite the aggressive entry, no arrests or injuries were reported in Tamoun.

The occupied West Bank and Jerusalem experience daily raids and incursions by occupation forces and settlers into various towns, villages, and refugee camps. These activities include bulldozing land, uprooting trees, and seizing property. The raids typically lead to confrontations, resulting in arrests and the firing of live and rubber bullets, as well as tear gas canisters at Palestinians.

The frequency of these campaigns has increased significantly in correlation with the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7, 2023.
