Rafah: The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) announced today the recovery of 11 bodies from the Tel Al-Sultan neighborhood in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip. In a statement, the PRCS explained that among the martyrs were six PRCS paramedics, four Civil Defense personnel, and a UN employee, who had been besieged by the occupation forces for eight days.
According to Qatar News Agency, the statement explained that PRCS crews, along with a team from OCHA, the Red Cross, and the Civil Defense, headed to the Tel Al-Sultan neighborhood to search for the missing crews. Eleven bodies have been recovered so far, and efforts are ongoing to search for other bodies.
In a press conference today, PRCS held the Israeli occupation authorities fully responsible for the safety and lives of its nine paramedics besieged by the occupation forces, stressing that targeting them can only be considered a premeditated crime punishable under international humanitarian law.
The death toll from the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 50,277 martyrs, in addition to 114,095 wounded.
