Premier League: City’s Marmoush to Miss Derby Against United Due to Injury

Manchester city: Manchester City announced on Wednesday that its Egyptian international forward Omar Marmoush will miss the upcoming derby against Manchester United due to injury, as the club prepares for the fourth round of the English Premier League.

According to Qatar News Agency, the club stated on its official website that Marmoush, 26, sustained a knee injury while playing for Egypt in a World Cup 2026 qualifier against Burkina Faso on Tuesday.

Marmoush’s absence is a significant blow to manager Pep Guardiola, who will be without a key player for one of the season’s most challenging fixtures.

Manchester City currently sits 13th in the Premier League with three points after three matches, while Manchester United is ninth with four points.
