President of Mauritania Arrives in Doha for Emergency Summit


Doha: HE President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani arrived on Sunday in Doha, to participate in the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit to be held in Doha. His Excellency and the accompanying delegation were welcomed upon arrival at Hamad International Airport by HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani and HE Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to Qatar Mohamed Mohamed Abdullah Bebane.



According to Qatar News Agency, the visit by President El Ghazouani underscores the importance of the summit, which aims to address pressing issues facing the Arab-Islamic world. The presence of high-ranking officials at the airport highlights the significance of Mauritania’s participation in the discussions.



The summit is anticipated to cover a range of topics pertinent to the region’s current political and economic climate. President El Ghazouani’s participation signifies Mauritania’s commitment to engaging in dialogue and cooperation with other Arab-Islamic nations.
