He described the recent events as major occurrences that have captured media attention, although he noted that such incidents are not unexpected during ceasefire periods based on past experiences.
According to Qatar News Agency, Sheikh Mohammed spoke during a session organized by the Council on Foreign Relations in New York, focusing on Qatar’s regional and international role and its joint mediation efforts to end the war on the Gaza Strip. He mentioned ongoing engagements with both parties to ensure the continuation of the ceasefire, highlighting the essential role of American involvement. He expressed disappointment over the recent violations but was reassured by the recognition from main parties of the importance of preserving the ceasefire.
The Prime Minister reiterated the necessity of ensuring safety for both Palestinians and Israelis and emphasized the objective of disarmament to create a political horizon for Palestinians, aiming for a unified entity as the sole legitimate authority.
