Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call from HE Secretary of State of the United States of America Marco Rubio. During the call, they discussed the close strategic relations between the State of Qatar and the United States and ways to support and enhance them.
According to Qatar News Agency, the conversation also included an exchange of views on the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, in light of the ceasefire agreement in the Strip. They further discussed a number of issues of mutual interest.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the importance of concerted regional and international efforts to ensure the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement. This, he noted, is essential for paving the way towards achieving sustainable peace and the desired stability in the region.
