Putin, North Korean FM Discuss Stronger Bilateral Ties


Doha: Russian President Vladimir Putin met on Monday with North Korea’s Foreign Minister, Choe Son Hui, who is now visiting Russia, to discuss ways to further enhance cooperation between the two countries. Putin said that relations between Moscow and Pyongyang are developing according to plan and in the best possible way, noting that he had held detailed discussions with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Beijing earlier regarding the state and prospects of bilateral ties.



According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on evaluating the outcomes of the recent discussions between Putin and Kim Jong Un. Both leaders had expressed mutual interest in expanding their cooperation across various sectors. The discussions in Beijing laid the groundwork for the meeting with Choe Son Hui, aimed at exploring tangible steps to strengthen the partnership between the two nations.



Choe Son Hui’s visit marks a significant step in the ongoing dialogue between Moscow and Pyongyang. The discussions are expected to pave the way for future agreements and joint initiatives that will benefit both countries.
