Qatar and UAE Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation Through High-Level Visit


Abu Dhabi: In a significant diplomatic move, HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani’s visit to Abu Dhabi is aimed at enhancing bilateral relations between Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.



According to Qatar News Agency, Al-Arab newspaper emphasized the importance of the meeting between HH the Amir and HH President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan. The leaders discussed opportunities to foster cooperation across multiple sectors, benefiting both nations.



Al-Arab highlighted that the visit marks a crucial milestone in bolstering bilateral ties, reinforcing cooperation and coordination in political, security, and economic arenas. This collaboration aims to address regional challenges and ensure a stable and prosperous future for all regional peoples.



Similarly, Al-Raya newspaper noted Qatar’s ongoing commitment to consultation and coordination with fraternal countries within the Gulf Cooperation Council and broader contexts. The discussions in Abu Dhabi are seen as part of the positive relationship between Qatar and the UAE, with reciprocal visits propelling relations to new heights.



On the domestic front, The Peninsula reported that Qatar’s tourism sector is experiencing significant growth. Qatar welcomed over 1.5 million international visitors in the first quarter of 2025, driven by a comprehensive tourism strategy. The sector is crucial for Qatar’s economic diversification and growth, as outlined in the National Development Strategy 2024-2030.



The Peninsula underscored Qatar Airways’ role in this growth, connecting Doha with over 177 destinations worldwide. This connectivity is vital for sustaining Qatar’s tourism momentum and economic development.
