Qatar and UN Collaborate to Protect Children in Conflict Zones


New york: HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani met with HE UN Under-Secretary-General and Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict, Vanessa Frazier, at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission in New York. Discussions during the meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Office of the Special Representative in the field of protecting children affected by armed conflict.



According to Qatar News Agency, the two sides also reviewed ways to support joint initiatives aimed at ensuring a safer and more stable environment for children worldwide. The talks highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts and the role of international partnerships in addressing the challenges faced by children in conflict zones, seeking to mitigate risks and promote their well-being.
