Doha: The State of Qatar chaired the 25th meeting of the ministerial committee in charge of following up on the implementation of joint action decisions in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), held today in Doha. The meeting was led by HE Cabinet Secretary-General Hamad bin Ahmed Al Muhannadi and was attended by Their Excellencies the heads of delegations from the GCC countries, along with HE GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi.
According to Qatar News Agency, in his opening remarks, HE Cabinet Secretary-General Al Muhannadi emphasized the importance of strengthening and advancing joint Gulf cooperation as a top priority for Qatar. He expressed the nation’s commitment to elevating cooperation to meet the aspirations of GCC leaders and citizens. His Excellency highlighted the crucial role of the ministerial committee in overseeing the implementation of joint action decisions and stressed the significance of the topics on the session’s agenda.
HE GCC Secretary-General Albudaiwi also addressed the com
mittee, acknowledging the GCC’s significant achievements in joint cooperation over its four-decade history. He commended the progress made by the Ministerial Committee in implementing the resolutions of the Supreme Council, underscoring the ambitious advancements achieved across various fields.
The committee deliberated on several topics related to the follow-up on decisions issued by the Supreme Council. Discussions included the issuance of legislative tools to support the path of joint Gulf action. The committee made appropriate decisions and recommendations on the issues discussed during the meeting.
