Manama, The Coast Guard has announced that the Operations Center has received a fax from the General Department of Coast and Border Security in Qatar stating the arrest of a Bahraini banoosh, “Shurooq Al Khair”, on the pretext of “illegally entering the waters of the State of Qatar and practicing fishing without a permit.”
Five Asian sailors, who were on board the traditional vessel, were referred to the relevant authorities in Qatar.
The Coast Guard Command said it is following its necessary legal procedures in this regard.
