Qatar Denounces Israeli Attack as State Terrorism, Maintains No Prior US Notification


Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani firmly stated that Qatar will not tolerate any infringement on its sovereignty, describing the recent Israeli attack as an act of state terrorism. He clarified that contrary to certain claims, Qatar had not received any prior notification from the United States before the strike.



According to Qatar News Agency, HE the Prime Minister emphasized that the first communication from a US official came ten minutes after the attack, which occurred at 3:46 pm. The US side reported being informed of the attack only after it had commenced. Additionally, US President Donald Trump later called HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, condemning the attack and confirming that Washington had no prior knowledge or involvement.



HE the Prime Minister highlighted the efficiency of Qatar’s air defense systems in intercepting Iranian missile strikes. However, the Israeli attack utilized weapons undetectable by radar, making the assault unexpected. He dismissed any rumors or claims circulated by Netanyahu as baseless.



Addressing the situation in Gaza, HE the Prime Minister reiterated Qatar’s dedication to facilitating ceasefire negotiations and ending the ongoing assaults. He noted that there are no active negotiations currently due to the continued Israeli attacks.



HE the Prime Minister underscored that Qatar’s diplomatic efforts are grounded in principles of regional stability and peaceful solutions. He affirmed that Qatar remains committed to its mediation role to ensure regional security and prosperity.
