Qatar Dispatches Humanitarian Aid to Alleviate Plight of Displaced Sudanese


Doha: The State of Qatar has sent urgent relief and humanitarian aid to Al Dabbah in Northern State, Sudan, demonstrating its commitment to assisting the Sudanese people during challenging times. This aid aims to address the pressing humanitarian needs of civilians, including critical food shortages and the growing demand for shelter and essential supplies.



According to Qatar News Agency, the aid package comprises approximately 3,000 food baskets and 1,650 shelter tents, provided by the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) and Qatar Charity. This assistance targets displaced individuals from Al-Fashir and surrounding areas, with the potential to benefit over 50,000 people. Moreover, a special camp named “Qatar Al-Khair” has been established to coordinate the distribution of Qatari aid.



This initiative is part of Qatar’s ongoing efforts to support the Sudanese population and mitigate the hardships caused by armed conflict. It underscores Qatar’s humanitarian role in enhancing global response efforts and fostering solidarity with affected communities worldwide.
