Jeddah: The Qatari basketball team faced a defeat against South Korea, with a final score of 83-97, during the second round of Group A in the FIBA Asia Cup, which is being held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The match saw South Korea taking control in multiple segments, ultimately securing a victory over Qatar.
According to Qatar News Agency, this was Qatar’s second loss in the tournament, having previously been defeated by Lebanon with a close score of 80-84. South Korea, on the other hand, had also experienced a loss in their first game against defending champions Australia, ending that match with a score of 61-97.
In other Group A action, Australia continued to perform strongly, defeating Lebanon 93-80. This victory places Australia in a favorable position to advance to the next round, ahead of their upcoming third-round match against Qatar. Meanwhile, in Group B, the Iranian team claimed a win over Japan with a score of 78-70.
