Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with The London Institute of Banking and Finance Middle East and North Africa (LIBF MENA) signed a memorandum of understanding with the aim of coordinating as well as enhancing joint cooperation and exchanging knowledge and experiences between the two sides at the level of education, training and professional development in the banking and financial services sector.
Under the MoU, the two parties agreed to enhance cooperation in order to provide programs related to vocational education, national programs, and specialized programs that would meet the needs of society and the needs of institutions concerned with financial services in the State of Qatar, in addition to exchanging experiences and information as needed, and identifying and exploring any other areas of common interest in which the partnership can be strengthened and deepened for the benefit of both parties.
The MoU was signed by Director of Professional Training and Development at the QFBA Majid Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi, CEO of the LIBF MENA Karim Rifai.
Al Khulaifi said that the memorandum comes within the framework of the QFBA’s strategy aimed at enhancing cooperation and building local, regional and international partnerships with various prestigious institutes and institutions, which would contribute to developing the capabilities of Qatari competencies working in the financial and banking services sector.
For his part, Karim Rifai expressed LIBF MENA’s enthusiasm about the partnership of QFBA, adding that QFBA and LIBF MENA’s common goals are to promote selected programs from the London Institute of Banking and Finance in the MENA region, and to design bespoke programs for the financial sector in Qatar.
