The general index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) dropped 9.82 points, or 0.095%, at the beginning of Wednesday's trading, to reach the level of 10,444.93 points, compared to yesterday's closing.
The performance of QSE general index was weighed down by a decline in five sectors: Industrials by 0.44%; Telecoms by 0.20%; Insurance by 0.16%; in addition to the Banks and Financial Services and Consumer Goods and Services by 0.13% each. On the other hand, the general index recorded a rise in Transportation by 0.86%; and Real Estate by 0.26%.
At 10:00 am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded 4,249 transactions worth QR 82,612,513.752, distributed to 35,673,826 shares.
