Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced a downturn at the beginning of Monday’s trading session, registering a decrease of 25 points, or 0.23%, to settle at 10,887 points compared to the previous session’s closing figures. This decline was primarily attributed to losses observed across four significant sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Telecoms sector led the decline with a fall of 0.68%. It was closely followed by the Industrials sector, which decreased by 0.58%. The Banks and Financial Services sector saw a slight decline of 0.07%, while the Transportation sector experienced a marginal drop of 0.06%. On the other hand, there were gains in the Insurance sector, which rose by 0.04%, the Consumer Goods and Services sector, which increased by 0.07%, and the Real Estate sector, which advanced by 0.15%.
By 10:00 am, the QSE reported a turnover of QR 44.189 million, with a total of 22.200 million shares being traded across 1899 transactions.
