Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index saw an increase at the beginning of Thursday’s trading session, rising by 0.28%. This gain amounted to 31.86 points, pushing the index to 11,257 points, compared to its previous session’s close. The positive movement was largely supported by gains across most sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, various sectors exhibited positive performances. Specifically, the Banking and Financial Services sector experienced a rise of 0.47%, while the Industrial sector increased by 0.31%. The Telecoms sector was up by 0.12%, Consumer Goods and Services saw a 0.07% rise, and the Real Estate sector inched up by 0.03%. Conversely, the Transportation sector recorded a slight decline of 0.03%, and the Insurance sector remained unchanged.
At 10:00 a.m., QSE reported a total of 2,808 transactions. These transactions were valued at QR 72.660 million and involved the distribution of 31.998 million shares.
