Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday that its forces have taken control of the eastern Ukrainian town of Novohryhorivka while Russian air defenses shot down 218 Ukrainian drones.
According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry stated that Russian forces have captured the town of Novohryhorivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. Ukrainian armed forces were targeted in 141 areas along the front lines, resulting in the reported losses of 1,431 soldiers, as well as the destruction of dozens of combat vehicles, cars, artillery pieces, ammunition depots, and electronic warfare stations.
The ministry further detailed that Russian tactical aircraft and drones, in conjunction with missile and artillery forces, targeted a Ukrainian traction power substation, transportation infrastructure facilities, railway cars, and long-range drone launching sites.
