Doha: Three people were killed and others injured in a Russian attack on the town of Nikopol in southeastern Ukraine. Governor of Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region Serhiy Lysak said today that Russian artillery shelling targeted Nikopol, resulting in the deaths of three people and injuries to four others.
According to Qatar News Agency, Nikopol is located on the northern bank of the Dnipro River in an area under Ukrainian control and is frequently subjected to Russian attacks. The on-the-ground situation across various fronts of the Russia-Ukraine conflict remains unclear due to conflicting statements from both sides. However, most reports indicate that Russian forces are advancing in eastern Ukraine, while Kyiv continues to urge its Western allies for more support to regain territory lost during the war.
