Nablus: At dawn on Tuesday, over 15 Palestinians suffered from suffocation during the Israeli occupation forces' raid on the Old City of Nablus. Director of the Red Crescent's Emergency and Ambulance Center in Nablus, Amid Ahmed, said that ambulance crews treated more than 15 cases of suffocation, including children, due to inhaling tear gas during the Israeli occupation forces' raid on the Old City of Nablus.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Israeli occupation forces raided multiple neighborhoods within the Old City of Nablus, in addition to the Khan Market, and carried out searches of homes and shops, ransacking their contents. Snipers were widely deployed on the rooftops of residential buildings.
The occupation forces also targeted a number of homes with live ammunition and tear gas canisters, while a number of young men were detained. Furthermore, the Nablus Education Directorate announced the suspension of school operations across the city and the postponement of the unified exams in all schools until next Monday.
The occupied West Bank has witnessed an escalation in Israeli assaults in recent months, coinciding with the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip. These operations have included increased raids, arrests, and indiscriminate shootings across various Palestinian cities and towns.
