Bethlehem: A number of Palestinian students from Al-Khader schools, located south of Bethlehem, suffered from suffocation after Israeli occupation forces fired tear gas bombs during a raid on the town.
According to Qatar News Agency, the occupation forces stormed Al-Khader and positioned themselves in the "Tall" area of the Old City. During this operation, they attacked students on their way to school by firing tear gas and sound bombs, resulting in several cases of suffocation. The agency reported that the forces also raided the gate area on the main Jerusalem-Hebron road, causing panic among students and citizens.
The previous day, occupation forces attacked Al-Khader students with live ammunition, tear gas, and sound bombs near their schools. The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has previously warned about the continuous targeting of Palestinian schools by the occupation army and colonists, which disrupts education and threatens the future of students.
In a related development, Israeli occupation forces today stormed several towns and villages in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate. They searched homes, but no arrests have been reported. Additionally, the forces arrested a Palestinian from the village of Fahma, south of Jenin.
