Pyongyang: North Korea announced it had successfully tested two hypersonic missiles. North Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported that two hypersonic missiles were fired from the Ryokpho district of Pyongyang, heading northeast, and hit the target on the Kwesang Peak in Orang County, North Hamgyong Province.
According to Qatar News Agency, KCNA described the two missile tests, which took place yesterday, as a significant new weapon system, adding that these two advanced missiles strengthen North Korea’s strategic deterrence. This marks the fifth time this year that North Korea has launched a ballistic missile; as the last launch of this type was in May.
