Trilateral Jordan-Syria-US Meeting Convenes to Discuss Situation in Syria


Amman: The trilateral Jordan-Syria-US meeting hosted by Amman has kicked off to discuss the situation in Syria and avenues for backing Syria’s reconstruction process based on the underpinnings that ensure its security, stability, and sovereignty, as well as meet the aspirations of the people of Syria and safeguard the rights of all Syrians.



According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting convenes with the participation of the Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Asaad Al Shaibani, US Ambassador to Turkiye and US Special Envoy for Syria, Thomas Barak, alongside representatives of the concerned institutions in those three nations. It comes as a continuation of the talks that were hosted by Amman on Jul. 18, 2025.



Ahead of this meeting, Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi, held separate meetings with Al Shaibani and Barak.



The meetings tackled the situation in Syria and the ongoing efforts in this context.
