US President Proposes Territorial Swap to Resolve Ukraine-Russia Conflict


Washington: US President Donald Trump said that Ukraine and Russia would need to swap some territory in order to end the war between them. During a press conference on Monday, President Trump stated that Russia has occupied very important territories, some of which he will try to recover.



According to Qatar News Agency, Trump mentioned that his upcoming meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska on Friday will involve an exchange of views and will determine whether Putin is ready to make a deal. The US President emphasized that he will convey to his Russian counterpart the necessity of ending the war and suggested the possibility of including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in future discussions.



Trump highlighted that he plans to engage in talks with European leaders soon after his meeting with Putin, underscoring his objective of achieving a swift ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine.
