With Qatari Participation, 13th Islamic World Culture Ministers Conference 2025 Concludes in Jeddah


Jeddah: The 13th Conference of the Ministers of Culture of the Islamic World 2025 concluded on Thursday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with the participation of a delegation from the Ministry of Culture (MOC) headed by MOC’s Assistant Undersecretary for Cultural Affairs Dr. Ghanem bin Mubarak Al Ali.



According to Qatar News Agency, the final statement of the Conference, which was held under the theme “Impact of Culture on Socio-Economic Development,” included the Jeddah Declaration. The declaration outlined a unified vision to enhance the role of culture in socio-economic development, protect Islamic heritage, address global challenges, and strengthen cooperation between Islamic countries in cultural fields. It also emphasized supporting initiatives that promote cultural rights, preserve heritage, and combat illicit trafficking in cultural property.



Among the crucial points in the Declaration are the promotion of cultural rights and the right to access culture, the protection of heritage in the Islamic world, addressing climate change and the role of culture, the development of cultural policies, and the use of modern technologies in the cultural sector’s development.



The “Jeddah Declaration” serves as a strategic document that guides cultural cooperation between Islamic countries. It focuses on heritage protection, the promotion of cultural rights, and keeping pace with technical advancements in cultural development.
